OBSERVATION: Ouch! We are all guilty of making false idols in our lives, tangible things whether it be money, property, homes, cars, pretty trinkets or the newest technology rather than investing in time with family, friends in need, seeking to help others which may be needy, doing God’s work. We are self-centered, selfish and therefore are worshipping false idols rather than seeking the Kingdom.
APPLICATION:
We must focus on God’s kingdom and not be blinded by false idols which only lead to an empty life and vacant heart.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, mold me, form me, guide me in your ways. Keep me faith and Kingdom focused and protect me from centering my life on false idols. Amen
