The Bible in a Year at Seeds of Faith
Join the Seeds of Faith Community on a journey through the Bible in 2025
For 2025, we are reading the Bible in a year at Seeds of Faith. Reading through the whole Bible in a year is a challenging and transformative experience. The truth is, we need to read the Bible at two different paces in order to gain the most the scriptures have to offer. We need to read “small and slow” in order to notice and ponder the details and we need to read “big and broad” in order to catch the grand sweep of the biblical story. This will be a year for reading “big and broad” on Seeds of Faith. Every time I have read the Bible in a year I have noticed connections I hadn’t seen before and I’ve strengthened my understanding of God’s Word.
I hope you’ll join along and share this opportunity to read through the Bible with family and friends, and via social media to build a community journeying together through the Bible in 2025.
We’ll begin on Monday, January 6. (Originally I posted starting on Monday, December 30, but I’m changing it so that we start in the new year.)
If you want to take it a little further, I’m inviting you to create what I call a “Legacy Bible,” by journaling and taking notes in the pages of your Bible this year (see “recommended resources” below). It can become a keepsake for yourself or a gift to someone like a child, grandchild, friend, or mentee.
If you haven’t already subscribed for free, do so now to get six daily posts/week with reflections and encouragement on the daily readings. This will be available via email, online, and in the Substack app for whichever method of delivery works best for you.
If you’re willing to support this project as a paid subscriber, you’ll have access to the comments, Q&A posts, and podcast interviews with biblical scholars and theologians to enhance your experience.
